Raleigh ISSA first Back to Basics Lab was a huge success!
Raleigh ISSA presents Back to Basic Labs an interactive experience for all! Raleigh ISSA is looking for sponsors and volunteer instructors for our next events. Our first lab was on preparing for a capture the flag event. Students received instruction while installing virtual machines and playing with a Jeopardy style capture the flag game. This class is just the beginning; we look forward to seeing you at our next Back to Basics Lab.
The CTF preparation lab provides students with the necessary skills required to compete in Triangle InfoSeCon Storm CTF http://raleigh.issa.org/announcing-2017-infosecon-ctf-dubbed-storm-ctf/
Heartfelt Message from our Educational Director on Raleigh ISSA first Back to Basics Lab was a huge success!
I want to say thank you to everyone who helped make the Raleigh ISSA CTF Lab a success! After a bumpy start (no overhead video projection – thanks to Gwen & James (ECPI) for fixing)) we we were able to install VirtualBox and KaliLinux onto everyone’s laptop with expert guidance from Nathan and Alex. Alex successfully brought up his CTF environment and participants were able to test their skills going past the scheduled end time of noon until 2 p.m. Special thanks to Alyse for her CTF mentoring! There will be one more CTF lab to prep before the “main event” – watch your email for an invite.
Regards,
Don
Special Thanks to our Volunteers and ECPI for hosting our B2B Lab.
