Supersonic, Subatomic Java with Quarkus

Title: Supersonic, Subatomic Java with Quarkus
Abstract: Been pressured to learn Node.js or Go, because Java was too fat and too slow? What if sub-second startup time and a tiny memory footprint were possible? Also, what if Java had the Node.js – edit-save-refresh developer experience? Meet Quarkus. In the extreme and harsh environment of the cloud, your Linux container may be rescheduled across the cluster or perhaps your serverless function autoscaled to zero. When the flow of inbound transactions becomes a massive stream, a small memory footprint, ultrafast startup speed, and a mixed reactive and imperative programming model become critical factors. This is where GraalVM meets Quarkus, giving you server-side and enterprise-capable Java, compiled to a native executable, enabling you to build truly cloud native apps.
