Arista Specializes in Reliable, Fast Switches

Arista’s been around since 2004, and all three of its founders, as well as the company’s existing CEO, previously worked at Cisco. Since then, the company, based in Santa Clara, California, has grown into a global supplier of networking hardware, primarily Ethernet switches. Arista commands are similar to Cisco iOS commands. Craig Dorry will lead us through this session to learn more about:

– basic networking

– MLAG (layer 2 leaf-spine)

– Layer 3 spine

– VXLAN basics (time permitting)

Bring a laptop and web browser. The lab is in the cloud so you will need a computer. If you don’t have one, reach out to us and we will find one for you to use during the class.

Please bring your Raleigh ISSA badge (if you have one)
