Founder of Tweens & Technology & T&T Creative Group
Derrick Thompson is the founder of Tweens & Technology. A STEM based organization that teaches 3rd – 8th graders how to code while teaching parents digital safety.
Thompson is also the founder and CEO of T&T Creative Group, a video marketing agency that helps companies of all types solve their visibility problem. They accomplish this by listening, utilizing analytics, building detailed buyer personas and staying unique to build the best videos!
In additional to running T&T Creative Group and his non-profit, Derrick volunteers heavily and participates on the board of the Information Systems Security Association’s Raleigh Chapter and Haven House Services.
In his abundance of free time, he enjoys quiet dinners with his wife Keeci and playing golf with his 9-year-old son Diego.
Four years ago, a member of the Raleigh ISSA had a dream to help more children get involved in technology! He was frustrated by the lack of confidence many children displayed and wanted to do something about it.
With the support of many including the Raleigh ISSA, Derrick Thompson started Tweens & Technology which has put 75 computers in children’s hands and taught over 200 children how to code in the past four years.
Thompson will detail the evolution of this amazing movement, while discussing how giving back has a 360-degree impact!
