The focus of this talk is to showcase what a hacker may have at their disposal should they penetrate into your network physically as well as wirelessly. We’ll take a look at some usages of WiFi Pineapple, Bash Bunny, USB Rubber Ducky, PoisonTap via Raspberry Pi Zero, BarcOwned barcode hacking (borrowed from my colleague Michael from his talk at DefCon 26), and much more. The goal is to successfully pull off as many successful attacks within the given timeframe.
Jeff (K3rn31_Jb055) has been employed at CyberArk, the trusted leader in Privileged Account Security for the last three years. Jeff specializes in providing tactical assistance, strategy, and best practices to customers in the Federal Government and also serves as a subject matter expert for CyberArk’s Privileged Threat Analytics and Endpoint Privilege Manager platforms.
Jeff holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina and lives in Raleigh with his wife, four-legged furry best friends Luna and Bindi, and still actively plays baseball on weekends from April to September in the CNCMSBL for the Wake Blue Sox. He also is active in his lab with various attack vectors and showing the capabilities and ease of using attack frameworks to exploit environments for educational experiences. He also is an attendee yearly of DefCon.

This is a final walk-through before the InfoSeCon CTF event at the end of October.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS WALK-THROUGH.
That is right – just show up at RTP HQ at 6 p.m. Alex Williams and his team have streamlined the process for enrolling and generating vpn keys.
You can participate for as little or as much of the 2 1/2 hours as you choose. We will have a brief overview of the CTF event at 6 p.m. for newbies.
The Raleigh ISSA InfoSeCon is rapidly approaching and we STILL need your help! One of the major events for this con is the Capture the Flag (CTF) event. Alex Williams and his StormCTF.Ninja team has been very active in developing the infrastructure and challenges that we will use for this year’s con. We need to do some final testing before the con, which is GREAT NEWS FOR YOU! We are having a CTF walk-through during the October meeting of the Raleigh ISSA meeting. What, you don’t have any pentesting experience but want to get some real “hands on” experience? This is your chance! Participate in this challenge with guided hands on experience to hack your way through several challenges.
